Following in the footsteps of his father, Jean Foillard, a leading figure in Beaujolais’ natural wine movement, Alex Foillard is quickly carving out his own path. After time spent travelling and working across the wine world, Alex returned to Beaujolais, secured a few hectares in Brouilly, and began producing wines under his own name.
Farmed organically and made with a light touch in the cellar, his wines lean into purity and drinkability. This unoaked Beaujolais is all about freshness—bright red berries, like perfectly ripe raspberries, with a subtle floral lift reminiscent of violets. It’s light, juicy, and easygoing, with a silky texture and just a gentle hint of tannin. Nothing overworked here—just clean, expressive fruit.

Alex may be young, but there’s real confidence and detail in these wines. His Beaujolais-Villages walks a fine line—capturing that airy, joyful lift you might associate with Guy Breton, while also showing a depth and structure that inevitably brings to mind Jean Foillard. It’s a compelling intersection, and seriously delicious.
