The Cuvée Mémée Marie is a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin. Totaling 0.7 hectares of vines, the two plots are located in the village of Lavigny and are planted with 40+ year old vines. The wine is named after François’s grandmother Marie.
Always a wine I can’t wait to tear into once it arrives! Shimmering, light and bright aromas of passionfruit and peach pit, beautifully crisp. Tank only for the Chardonnay and three months sous voile for the Savagnin. Very attractive salty/sour fruit. Juicy and delicious mouthfeel with a mouthwatering finish. This is pretty great and very delicious. An incisive, invigorating delight.
