This is from Aligoté sourced from Bouzeron, from a 1 ha vineyard planted in 1980 on grey marl. Aromatically, this has all the grilled nuts and autolytic notes that fans of Burgundy love these days. Instead of the citric, incisive style of Burgundian Aligoté, this is richer in tone and texture and has a pale gold colour. This shows fleshy orchard and ripe citrus fruits with a gorgeous interplay of salted butter. The interplay of laser focus with a deep exoticism could only come from the Jura. This is superb!
