Dominique Belluard — the visionary behind Domaine Belluard — tragically passed away in June 2021.
The Mont Blanc Brut Zéro from Domaine Belluard is a rare and striking sparkling wine from the high-altitude vineyards of the Haute-Savoie, made entirely from Gringet, an ancient and near-extinct white grape found only around Ayze. Dominique Belluard’s biodynamically farmed vines, perched on steep limestone and marl slopes at 450–550 meters, capture the alpine purity and tension of this remarkable terroir.
The 2019 vintage—one of the final produced under Dominique’s hand before his passing—offers exceptional precision and mineral drive. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged on lees for several years before disgorgement, it is bottled without dosage (Brut Zéro) to preserve absolute transparency.

The wine is taut, saline, and chiselled, with notes of white mountain flowers, crushed stone, green pear, lemon zest, and a subtle herbal edge. The mousse is fine and persistent, the palate tense yet layered, showing both depth and lift. It’s a Champagne-rivaling expression of Gringet that speaks purely of its alpine origin—vibrant, contemplative, and long-lived.
