Founded by Eric Pfifferling in 1988, Domaine de l’Anglore is based near the village of Tavel in the southern Rhône. Eric farms seven hectares of organically grown vineyards scattered across the region’s distinctive galet-strewn soils. Working by hand in both vineyard and cellar, he harvests his own fruit and follows a minimal-intervention approach, avoiding artificial yeasts, enzymes, and post-fermentation sulphur additions wherever possible.
Meticulous attention to vineyard health, cleanliness, and detail allows Eric to produce wines of remarkable purity, energy, and fragrance. His work has become a benchmark for the natural wine movement, demonstrating how thoughtful organic farming and sensitive cellar practices can yield wines of both character and precision. A passionate advocate for preserving traditional, artisanal winemaking in the face of increasing industrialisation, Eric crafts reds and whites that consistently combine freshness, vitality, and charm. As a result, Domaine de l’Anglore has earned a devoted following and is regarded as one of the most influential estates in the southern Rhône.

Produced by Eric Pfifferling in Tavel, France, these wines are renowned for their distinctive character, often described as “dark rosé” due to their depth, structure, and red wine-like flavour profile. Crafted using whole-bunch maceration, organic farming, and minimal intervention in the cellar, they combine vibrant fruit with savoury herbal notes and remarkable freshness. The 2023 vintage includes cuvées such as Vaucroze, made from Grenache, Cinsault, and Clairette grown on clay and limestone soils, and Sables, sourced from parcels rich in white galets roulés. Aged in concrete, both wines offer impressive complexity, mineral salinity, and excellent ageing potential.
