Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
From a biodynamic producer in the heart of Tuscany. Sangiovese all the way. Mix of concrete, older wood and steel involved in the winery.
Surprisingly bright, cherry pip and pomegranate juice orientated with tart cranberry and dashes of sweet and sour spice and herbs. Crisp texture, a slip of fine, lacy tannin, a good chomp through the wine and a cooling, spicy finish. Quite a bit of what one would call minerality here. Tightly wound and elegant. 94 points
