Emmanuel Brochet is based in the village of Villers-aux-Noeuds, just south of Reims, where he cultivates 2.5 hectares of vines in a single contiguous parcel. Planted with Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, some dating back to 1962, the vineyard has been farmed organically since 2008, a choice driven by Brochet’s deep respect for the land rather than simple adherence to a trend.
For this release, he introduces the first NV cuvée under the “Selected” label, sourced from the Premier Cru village of Pierry. The blend is 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay, composed of 65% 2020 vintage with the balance drawn from reserve wines. Raised entirely in oak and disgorged in 2023 with a dosage of just 3 g/L, it is a Champagne that reflects both precision and Brochet’s thoughtful, terroir-driven approach.
