2018 Ansitz Dolomytos Sacker Skythos

$150.00

A captivating and unconventional blend led by 50% Pinot Noir, complemented by an array of characterful varieties including Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Agiorgitiko, Mourvèdre, and Alicante Bouschet. Sourced from Unterinn on Renon Mountain at 500 meters elevation, where steep, south-facing slopes of weathered porphyry give natural intensity and minerality.

Fermented spontaneously in wooden tonneaux, spending 10–14 days on skins before three years of ageing in barriques and 150L cigar-shaped barrels. Bottled gently, then aged for a further 1–2 years in the Dolomytos tunnel. Unfiltered and unclarified, it’s a pure expression of mountain-grown red.
