2021 Bendito Destino Fuentecebolla

$250.00

Dept and elegance, dark berry aromas, black cherry, blackberry with hints of wild herbs, and subtle floral notes. The tannins are rather supple but round. The co-fermentation of red and white grapes adds a lovely lift with a long, lingering finish.

Blend of 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, and 10% white grapes, sourced from a historic vineyard planted in 1920. Nestled in a northeast-facing valley with sandy clay soils, the wine is aged in two new 500L François Frères Rare barrels. The hand-stemmed grapes, with 35% stems included, contribute to its complex character. With a plot size of just 0.31 hectares.

This is one of six single-vineyard reds that they make. 0.3 hectares, sandy soils over limestone, 40% whole bunch. 80% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha, 10% white grapes. Valley facing northeast, with a vineyard planted in 1920. So supple, textural and open with fresh red cherries and raspberries. Nice acidity and texture, and a sour cherry finish. This has beautiful finesse. 95 points
