The estate’s cuvées are largely site-specific, each reflecting a distinct parcel and soil profile. Les Plantes is one of the estate’s best wines, from a small 0.6-hectare parcel neighbouring the Vieilles Vignes du Fief Prévost and Prieur des Noues plots. The vines were planted in 2017–2018, it’s a beautiful expression of this style of Anjou Chenin – fine and expressive, with citrus blossom, green apple, and a chalky mineral edge. Prieur des Noues is the newest vineyard, that is all schist, there is very little of it for the time being, it shows fresh and mineral-forward, with lifted citrus and green apple up front, backed by a chalky, wet-stone character typical of the site’s schist soils. La Montagne, a blend from 40- and 70-year-old vines, shows the depth and textural richness that old vines bring to Chenin Blanc. Les Coqueries a famous terroir, comes from a schist-and-quartz site picked very late in the season, lending it a pronounced minerality and taut, saline character. Minée-Basse, a newer plot surrounded by woodland at the base of a gravel slope, offers a different register — fresher and more delicate. With Inter-Val, things step up, expect a wine built on freshness, precision, and length. The palate shows electric drive and tension and shows the estate’s more dramatic side. The Vieilles Vignes du Fief Prévost is the oldest-vine bottling in the range, this cuvée is generally regarded as the most serious and age-worthy of the estate’s dry Chenins — old vines and pure schist giving it real depth, textural weight.
