Emmanuel Brochet is based in Villers-aux-Nœuds, just south of Reims, where he farms 2.5 hectares of vines, all within a single parcel. The vineyard is planted to all three major Champagne varieties, with the oldest vines dating back to 1962. He converted to organic viticulture in 2008, driven primarily by a deep respect for the land.
For this release, the base vintage is 2020, complemented by an unusually high proportion of reserve wines — 70% from vintages 2016–2021. The blend is 40% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Meunier and 25% Chardonnay, all organically certified.
With zero dosage, the wine is pure, dry and expressive, allowing the vineyard and vintage to take centre stage.
