Oxidation is one of the most fascinating techniques in the world of wine. In the right hands, it can bring stability, texture, extraordinary complexity and a distinctive sense of place. Across Europe, generations of winemakers have embraced oxidative handling to create some of the world’s most unique and age-worthy wines.

From the remarkable solera system of Jerez, where some barrels contain wines dating back to the 18th century, to the legendary Champagnes of Jacques Selosse, where oxidative élevage has helped redefine the region. We’ll also explore the iconic sous voile wines of France’s smallest wine region, the Jura, including the legendary Vin Jaune, before finishing with the extraordinary fortified wines of Madeira, whose unique ageing methods produce wines capable of lasting for centuries. We’ll also explore the historic fortified wines of Marsala in Sicily, where oxidative ageing creates complex flavours of nuts, dried fruit and spice.

Join me for one night only as we taste our way through a selection of exceptional wines from some of the world’s greatest producers. This is a rare opportunity to explore the many expressions of oxidative winemaking, discovering how oxygen, often considered wine’s greatest enemy, can, in the right hands, become one of its greatest allies.

Expect rare bottles, fascinating stories, and an unforgettable journey through one of wine’s most captivating styles.
