From 65-year-old vines, and bottled more than two and a half years after harvest, the Mâcon-Chaintré Vieilles Vignes from Maison Valette is a striking expression of old-vine Chardonnay. Aged 80% in oak and 20% in tank, the wine has been made entirely without sulfur since 2015.
Uniquely, this is a blend of three vintages, an approach inspired by wines like Vega Sicilia’s Unico Reserva Especial.
