MV Maison Valette Mâcon Chaintré Vieilles Vignes

$130.00

(Assemblage Millésimes 2018, 2019 et 2021)

From 65-year-old vines, and bottled more than two and a half years after harvest, the Mâcon-Chaintré Vieilles Vignes from Maison Valette is a striking expression of old-vine Chardonnay. Aged 80% in oak and 20% in tank, the wine has been made entirely without sulfur since 2015.

Uniquely, this is a blend of three vintages, an approach inspired by wines like Vega Sicilia’s Unico Reserva Especial. In the face of climate variability, the Valette family has chosen this method to preserve the balance, energy, and complexity they seek. The result? A wine of remarkable depth, precision, and textural grace, a true benchmark for natural white Burgundy.
