The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Village, Charles Lachaux’s maiden vintage, includes around 35% whole cluster, the first vintage to include stems. It has a slightly savoury bouquet, touches of field mushroom, freshly tilled earth and a touch of truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine depth, slightly lactic towards the finish and certainly without the delineation of more recent vintages.
