Fattoria di
Bacchereto

Carmignano

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Tuscany, Fattoria di Bacchereto is a hidden gem in the historic Carmignano appellation, one of Tuscany’s oldest wine regions with a winemaking heritage that dates back to the Medici era. This remarkable estate is celebrated for its authentic, artisanal approach to winemaking and its steadfast commitment to sustainable practices.

Since 2002, Fattoria di Bacchereto has embraced biodynamic farming, ensuring their vineyards flourish in harmony with nature. The estate’s vineyards are rooted in stony, calcareous-clay soils at an altitude of 250–300 meters, providing the ideal conditions for growing exceptional Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. In the cellar, the estate takes a minimalist approach, crafting wines from hand-harvested grapes, utilizing natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and aging the wines in traditional cement vats or large oak casks.

“Carmignano is one of Tuscany’s best-kept secrets. Its wines, rooted in tradition yet uniquely distinct, reflect a compelling combination of Sangiovese's elegance and Cabernet Sauvignon's depth, making it a standout among Tuscany’s appellations."

- Antonio Galloni of Vinous

The estate’s flagship Carmignano DOCG Terre a Mano is a beautiful blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is celebrated for its vibrant red fruit, earthy minerality, and refined tannins, offering a true reflection of its unique terroir. Another standout is the Vin Santo di Carmignano, a wine aged for over five years in chestnut and oak barrels. With layers of dried fruits, honey, and toasted nuts, it is a true expression of Tuscan craftsmanship.

Fattoria di Bacchereto represents the soul of Tuscany. Their wines honor centuries-old traditions while embracing sustainable and forward-thinking practices. Each bottle offers a journey into the rich heritage of this exceptional region.

If you’re looking to experience the essence of Tuscany in every glass, Fattoria di Bacchereto is a name to remember.

“Carmignano may be lesser known than other Tuscan appellations, but its unique blend of grapes and terroir, combined with centuries of winemaking expertise, make it a region that deserves more attention from wine lovers."
